How to Use CND Perfect Color Clear Acrylic Powder

Step 1: Prepare the Natural Nails

Sanitize the hands and nails before beginning. Gently push back the cuticles and remove non-living tissue from the nail plate.

Prepare the natural nail surface using appropriate professional nail preparation techniques. Remove dust, excess oils, and debris to ensure proper adhesion.

Step 2: Apply Nail Primer or Bonder

Apply a compatible CND nail preparation or bonding product if required by your selected acrylic system.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper application.

Step 3: Prepare the Acrylic Mixture

Pour a small amount of compatible CND sculpting liquid, such as CND RETENTION+ or RADICAL SOLARNAIL Sculpting Liquid, into a clean dappen dish.

Dip a professional acrylic brush into the monomer liquid, remove excess liquid, and gently touch the brush to the Clear Sculpting Powder to create a workable acrylic bead.

Recommended Mixing Ratio: Approximately 1.5 parts sculpting liquid to 1 part acrylic powder. Always follow the mixing instructions for your selected CND system.

Step 4: Apply & Sculpt the Acrylic

For natural nail overlays, place the acrylic bead onto the prepared nail and distribute the product evenly to create a smooth, transparent enhancement.

For acrylic nail extensions, apply the mixture over a properly fitted nail tip or sculpting form, building the desired length, structure, and apex.

For encapsulated nail art, arrange compatible decorative elements onto the nail and carefully cover them with clear acrylic powder mixed with sculpting liquid. Ensure the design is fully encapsulated without creating unnecessary bulk.

Step 5: Allow the Acrylic to Harden

Allow the acrylic enhancement to fully polymerize according to the manufacturer's recommended setting time for your selected CND liquid-and-powder system.

Step 6: File, Buff & Finish

Once fully hardened, refine the nail shape using a professional nail file and smooth the surface with a buffer.

Remove excess dust and apply a compatible glossy top coat to enhance the transparent appearance and reveal the details of any encapsulated nail art.
